How do we approach Special Health Care Needs?
Inclusion means providing special care to everyone. From individuals to families, seniors, and those with special health care conditions that require special consideration and care when receiving dental treatment, everyone can receive the specific and care-centred approach that meets their needs.
People with special health care needs are geriatric patients and those with physical, medical, mental, and/or intellectual disabilities. These terms and conditions can include persons on the Autism spectrum, or those with Alzheimer’s disease, Down syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, Parkinson’s, hip fractures, and many other conditions or injuries that can make standard dental procedures more difficult to complete. Additionally, we also give special care to pregnant individuals, those with diabetes, cancer, epilepsy, fear, anxiety, a phobia of the dental office, and any health condition or stage in life that needs special care or attention like in childhood.
In Path Dental is designed to expand access to dental care for individuals with special health care needs with the objective of making the treatment as comfortable, safe, and affordable as possible.
We are a sensory-friendly, wheelchair-accessible Dental office that adapts to best serve our patients in a safe manner.
