Dr. Maria Salome Lomlomdjian is an experienced General Dentist and the Chief Smile Officer at In Path Dental, with over 20 years of clinical expertise delivering compassionate, patient-centred care to individuals of all ages and abilities. She is a member of the Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario and the Ontario Dental Association.
Dr. Salome completed her dental education across three countries, graduating from the University of Buenos Aires, Argentina, São Paulo State University, Brazil, and the National Dental Examining Board of Canada. She pursued advanced training in Laser Dentistry at the University of São Paulo and completed a fellowship in Hospital Dentistry at Darcy Vargas Children’s General Hospital.
Her clinical practice spans General Dentistry, Pediatric Dentistry, Special Care Dentistry, Senior Care, Hospital Dentistry, Palliative Dentistry, Oral Surgery, Oral Medicine, General Anesthesia, Sedation, Prosthodontics, Laser Surgery, Restorative Dentistry, Periodontics, Endodontics, Cosmetic Dentistry, Invisalign, and Clear Aligners. She is particularly passionate about caring for children, individuals with special health care needs, dental anxiety, and complex medical conditions, with a strong emphasis on dignity, trust, and personalized care.
In addition to her private practice, Dr. Salome is an Associate Dentist within the Division of Dentistry and Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Trillium Health Partners, practicing at Credit Valley Hospital, Mississauga Hospital, and Queensway Health Centre. She works within multidisciplinary healthcare teams and collaborates with the University of Toronto through an integrated model of training, research, and advancement of best practices in Special Health Care Needs Dentistry.
Since a young age, Dr. Salome has been actively involved in volunteer work internationally, working with children and families across different countries, cultures, and languages. In addition to English, Spanish, Portuguese, and Armenian. She believes that beyond spoken language, body language, presence, and emotional safety play a central role in building trust and meaningful connections with patients and families.
Since 2022, Dr. Salome has been actively involved with the Canadian Society for Disability and Oral Health (CSDH). Through this collaboration, In Path Dental became a Partner in Health, supporting initiatives that expand access and quality of care for individuals with disabilities. In 2025, she was appointed as a Board Member of the CSDH, contributing to strategic leadership in inclusive oral health care in Canada.
Since 2005, Dr. Salome has been actively involved with the Special Olympics, and in 2021 she became the Clinical Director of Special Olympics Ontario’s Special Smiles Program. In Path Dental is proud to be a Partner in Health with Special Olympics Ontario, supporting athletes in achieving improved oral health and overall well-being.
Dr. Salome is deeply committed to education and lifelong learning, regularly pursuing advanced continuing education in Canada and internationally. As an educator and speaker, she leads seminars, workshops, webinars, and multidisciplinary presentations for parents, caregivers, and healthcare professionals, promoting oral health awareness and advancing best practices in Special Care Dentistry.
Outside of dentistry, Dr. Salome enjoys time with her husband, her two sons, and her Golden Retriever, Cashew. She enjoys travelling, arts and crafts, baking, meditation, and yoga, and finds deep fulfillment in blending her passions for medicine, art, and design through dentistry.
