Wheelchair Dentistry

A Comfortable Experience

We understand that the sights, sounds, and routines of a dental office can be overwhelming. Our team uses patience, clear communication, and a gentle approach to help reduce anxiety. When appropriate, sedation dentistry may also be an option to help patients receive the care they need comfortably.

Personalized Dental Care

Before treatment begins, we learn about each patient’s preferences and any accommodations that may help make their visit more comfortable.

Our goal is to build trust and help every patient feel safe and supported.

Depending on their needs, we may schedule appointments during quieter times, explain each step before treatment begins, and work closely with caregivers to provide the best possible experience. We also allow extra time so visits never feel rushed, and adapt our approach to support sensory sensitivities.

Genuine Dental Care in the GTA

Our wheelchair treatment setup is designed to accommodate a wide range of wheelchair types while helping patients remain safe and comfortable throughout their visit.

Features include accommodation for manual and power wheelchairs, with adjustable support for different wheelchair sizes and seating positions.

The setup allows easy wheelchair positioning with a wide access design, comfortable head and neck support during treatment, and smooth, easy to clean surfaces that support a hygienic environment.

Who May Benefit?

Wheelchair accessible dentistry may be especially helpful for patients who use a wheelchair full-time or part-time, or who have limited mobility. It can also benefit patients with neurological or muscular conditions, those who have difficulty transferring to a dental chair, and those who prefer treatment in a familiar seating position.

Compassionate Care for Every Smile

At In Path Dental, we believe everyone deserves access to quality dental care. Our experienced team is committed to providing respectful, patient-centred care in a welcoming, judgement-free environment where individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder can feel comfortable and confident. If you have questions or would like to discuss accommodations before your appointment, we encourage you to contact our team. We are here to help make every visit a positive experience.
